Quick heal security lab found new malware known as Android.banker.A2f8a. This malware affecting android banking apps. It has affected total 232 android mobile apps till now including Axis bank, ICICI, HDFC etc. This malware has ability to steal login credentials, hijacking SMSs and uploading contact lists.
This malware is distributed through flash player app on third party stores. Be safe do no download any apps from third party websites. Remember this app will ask administrative permissions until user allow to do so.
Once it got access it hide its icon and continues to attack the victim’s device. This is second news today after major security issues reported by Google’s project Zero team. They have reported about Meltdown and Spectre – a major cpu vulnerability. Intel, Microsoft and Apple are working on the same.
